Flash Leaked Stock Android 4.3 Jelly Bean ROM on Nexus 4

Android-4.3-Jelly-Bean-Nexus-4
A flashable zip file of Android 4.3 JWR66N for the Nexus 4 based on a Nandroid backup that was leaked just a couple of days back. Read on for more details and installation instructions.

The ROM was initially leaked on Google+ by Jeff Williams, and after getting his hands on it, XDA Senior Member gmillz made it available as both Odexed and Deodexed flashable zip files for the community to flash and enjoy. As you would expect from any Google ROM, it is purely stock Android devoid of any manufacturer skins. The ROM is rooted, however; though some users have reported root access to be not working. That said, there’s a workaround for that too – all you need to get root access is to flash a version of SuperSU compatible with Android 4.3. Apart from root access, the only other modification is an insecure kernel so that you could perform adb shell.

Some new features in this ROM include the Android 4.3 Camera and Gallery, the new bootanimation, font and variant of the Phase Beam wallpaper from the new Google Play edition S4 and One, T9 support in the dialer, the new Google Maps, a few new settings and features for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and some bug fixes including one for the critical Master Key exploit.

Enough details – let’s get on with the installation and get it on our Nexus 4.
